English Immersion Course

English B1 & B2 Summer Immersion course - online during August 2024.

The course will focus on surrounding you with the English language and encouraging you to use it as much as possible. Content will vary depending on the specific program, but here's a general breakdown of what you can expect:

Core Language Skills:

  • Speaking and Listening: These are the main focuses of immersion courses. You'll have ample opportunities to converse with the teacher on a variety of topics. Activities might include discussions, debates, role-playing, and presentations – all conducted entirely in English.

  • Reading and Writing: While not the sole emphasis, immersion courses will still incorporate reading and writing practice. You might read articles, news stories, or short stories, followed by discussions or writing assignments related to the content.

Vocabulary and Grammar:

  • Focus on Practical Application: Vocabulary and grammar instruction won't be as explicit as traditional classes. Instead, you'll learn new words and grammar structures through context and real-life usage.

  • Advanced Topics: Immersion courses target learners at a higher level (typically intermediate to advanced). Vocabulary will focus on expanding your knowledge in various areas, and grammar will delve into more complex structures used in everyday conversation and academic settings.

Sample Thematic Lessons:

  • Current Events and Social Issues: Discussing topics like environmentalism, technology, or politics allows you to practice vocabulary and grammar related to these areas.

  • Business English: Role-playing meetings, negotiations, or presentations helps develop communication skills relevant to professional settings.

  • Arts and Literature: Analyzing movies, songs, or reading excerpts can enhance your vocabulary and comprehension skills.

Course price is €150 for 8 classes of 1hour each.
